Students Compete for Homecoming King & Queen Title

September 13, 2007- Ten West Virginia Wesleyan students have been selected by nominations from the College’s student body to serve as the 2007 Homecoming Court.

The Homecoming King and Queen will be announced during half-time at the football game between Wesleyan and Shepherd at Cebe Ross Field. The game begins at 1 p.m. Saturday.

Members of this year’s court vying for queen are English major Laura Full from Elizabeth, WV; biology pre-med major Christine Lansdale (Zeta Tau Alpha) from Hurricane, WV; psychology major Melissa Martin (Alpha Xi Delta) from French Creek; business management/MBA major Taran Parsons (Alpha Delta Pi) from Ripley, WV, and elementary education major Stephanie Rovnan (Alpha Delta Pi) from Ellicott, MD.

Candidates for king include exercise science major Tyler Blatchley (Theta Chi) from Baltimore, MD; political science major Jonathan Gohrband (Theta Chi) from Reston, VA; public relations major Brian Schooley (Alpha Sigma Phi) from Millville, NJ; elementary education major Wes Smallwood (Chi Phi) from Gibsonia, PA; and accounting major Jamion Wolford (Theta Chi) of Burlington, WV.

The freshman attendant is biology major Emma Elkins from Winfield, WV , the sophomore attendant is musical theatre major Meredith Gagich (Zeta Tau Alpha) from Washington, PA, and the junior attendant is business administration major Karly Kramer (Zeta Tau Alpha) from Elkins, WV.
