Sororities Gives Local Girls Great Prom

March 18, 2007 -The Panhellenic community of WVWC has teamed up with Alderson-Broddus’ Sorority community to sponsor a fund-raiser to assist local young women in having a dream prom.

In the area surrounding AB College, many girls cannot afford dresses for proms and other such formals.

As a result, the local Panhellenic women have come together to donate dresses, shoes, accessories, and other items girls would need to get ready for their high school prom.

Within the college community, there probably could not be a more convenient  group to donate such items.

Each sorority usually has at least one semi-formal party as well as a formal dance.

The response has been very promising here at WVWC.

Alpha Xi Delta and Alpha Delta Pi have already donated several dresses and other items, with more on the way.

The other sororities are also working on donating several more dresses.

John Bohman, Coordinator of Greek Affairs, is very warmed by the response of all the sororities: “I feel it is wonderful that our Panhellenic women have an opportunity to make a young girl’s dream come true.”
