Greeks Capture Spring Sing


April 23, 2007 - Amanda Sluss (Zeta Tau Alpha), a senior psychology major from Scott Depot, WV and Zach Harmon (Alpha Sigma Phi), a five-year master of business management major from Ravenswood, WV were crowned Spring Sing Queen and King on Saturday, April 21 by President Pamela and Patrick Balch. The crowning was the highlight of the College’s annual Spring Sing and Spring Weekend activities.

Alpha Delta Pi and Kappa Alpha captured Top Sorority and Top Fraternity Spring Sing honors. Alpha Delta Pi also recieved awards for Best Overall Performance and Best Banner. Zeta Tau Alpha recieved an award for Best Director, Amy Beth Casto.

Queen and King candidates included: Emily Facemyer (Alpha Xi Delta), an accounting major from Sissonville, WV and Kole Metz (Theta Chi), a communication major from Cumberland, MD; Robin Powell (Alpha Gamma Delta), a biology education major from McKeesport, PA and Harmon; Catherine Rylands (Alpha Delta Pi), an exercise science major from Buckhannon and Andrew Patterson (Chi Phi), a political science major from Ravenswood; Sluss and Antonio Brown, a management major from Suitland, MD; and Tiffany Boeltz, an athletic training major from Pittsburgh, PA and Matt Wing (Theta Chi), a communication major from Dumont, NJ.

The freshman class attendant was Katie Bush (Alpha Delta Pi), a public relations major from Buckhannon. The sophomore class attendant was Meghan Frum, a public relations major from Clarksburg, and the junior class attendant was Hannah Aspy (Alpha Delta Pi), a communication major from Salem, WV.
