As you may be aware, in the meeting of the Greek Alumni Council, which included representation from individual sororities and fraternities, adopted a resolution to support the new Virginia Thomas Law Center for the Performing Arts with a pledge of $150,000. This money will be used to construct the Courtyard/Reception Lobby and will be named as having been supported by the nine fraternities and sororities on campus.

The math is simple. If you divide the pledge by nine different organizations, each fraternity and sorority is responsible for $16,667 or $3,334 per year for five years. The work to collect that money may not be as simple.

Please make sure that your members and their supporters list their tax-deductible gift as supportive of your specific fraternity or sorority. Gifts can be given via the internet under the alumni section for WVWC.
